Mangalore, Feb 21 : Within hours after an exclusive investigative news “A cry in the neighbourhood” was flashed on daijiworld.com, it became a hot topic of discussion not only in the neighbourhood and in Mangalore but also around the world.
The news on daijiworld was like a bolt from the blue to the owner of the house, a highly respectable person living abroad, who had rented the place purely in good faith. But unfortunately for him his tenant turned out to be a rogue who misused the trust bestowed on him and made use of the huge house to run a girl’s hostel and now an old age home.
The owner of the house who was shell shocked on reading the news in daijiworld.com has now alerted his family back home and asked them to initiate the process of asking the tenant to vacate the premises within the next few days. Though the tenant has tendered apology for the inconvenience caused to the owners, the landlord has firmly asked him to vacate the premises lawfully within the stipulated time period. It is said that the family members of the landlord have now approached lawyer Darryl Andrade to initiate legal procedure for vacating the premises. Certainly the impact of daijiworld has led to such swift developments and we hope something good has come out of our efforts.
However, vacating the premises itself is not the end of the problem. The neighbours of Monkey Stand might get some respite from the constant yelling, shouting and wailing when the tenants vacates the premises. But the fate of the inmates, is really cause to worry because by vacating the premises the problem will be shifted to some other place. The need of the hour is to find out whether the person has a license to run a old age home or not. Neighbours who have seen the tenant even after the said house became a talk of the town, following the newsflash in daijiworld, say that he is not perturbed at all following the developments. These neighbours are also hinting about the possibility of parents of some powerful police officials (which the tenant himself boasted) being sheltered at his place, away from public gaze. Neighbours are also insinuating that the said tenant has the blessings of a powerful local political leader, for reasons best known to him, due to which he is least bothered or dons a “I care a damn attitude’’.
A detailed investigation on the modus operandi by appropriate authorities is the need of the hour to know the truth and curtail such inhuman activities. It will desist people like this tenant from indulging in such despicable and brutal acts.
This incident will serve as a lesson to all those house owners who rent out their houses without knowing the party well because ultimately, if anything goes wrong it would land them in unwanted troubles and in big doldrums.
