Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman visits Udupi, set to attend various programmes

Udupi, May 13: Union minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman visited the district on Saturday May 14.

She visited Udupi Krishna Math in the morning. Sitharaman also received blessings from Shri Vidyasagara Theertha Swamiji.

The minister also paid visit to Kollur temple and partook in a special pooja conducted by chief priests Govinda Adiga and Narasimha Adiga. She met party workers at the pooja venue. Administrative committee of Kollur temple welcomed the minister with Poorna Kumbha. Union minister Shobha Karandlaje, MLA B M Sukumar Shetty were also present.

Sitharaman will attend various programmes in the city.

The minister had arrived at Mangaluru International Airport late evening on Friday May 13 before proceeding to Udupi.

    Other than religion and prayers these leaders doesn't understand major issues faced by general public. My father is 92 years old and his property taxes have increased by 3 fold in Mangalore which is concerning to senior citizens. These leader should be focusing time on adding jobs, youth developments, better of senior citizens and many people facing live a daily lives to provide viable solutions than runing after gods which is not adding value to poor and hungry. All elected reps are only focused on god and temples. Do something valuable thing add value to mass population

    Flavs. ..yes....But, why we should hate anyone ? Its loss for us only....poisonous toxins are produced and mix up in the blood and gifting various diseases. If anyone harms us, we should go by law. But, should not hate and sit in anger. As long as Neighbors do not harm us....let them be....or anyone. This is my opinion Flavs....Politics is really a mysterious matter....When govt heads are there sitting on topmost positions, they sleep well, get commission well, eat well, gather well because of our money. Then, tell me its their responsibility too to handle them. They are good with them..why we should hate? Simple logic...he na ?

    By keepingfaith in Godand seeking the blessings from Temple pandiths, countries economy will not rebound. First have qualified leaders including PM who is meant to rule the country with thoro knowledge in ecomics and not simply chai and RSS activists. Nirmala last time said that she does not consume onions and now even tomatoes too keeping distance.

    She was right in saying that GDP went down to -24% due to 'God's hand'. Thus she came to offer prayers to God's hand. She needs a lot of blessings as India's economy in doldrums. Today India stopped exporting wheat. Direct impact on CAD which means Indian rupee will weaken further.

    Crude oil price is ruining Hindustan's economy..., Jokara is happy...., but for Intellectual people who got highly paid jobs abroad with the help of education from premier Educational institution like AIIMS/ICAI/IISc/JNU/ IIT/IIM/NIT's etc., founded by the visionary Hindustan's Frist ever PM highly educated & intellect Bharat Ratna Late Pandit Nehruji..., the Forex situation would have been in the doldrums..., Cotton price hit 11 year high, Wheat is at life time high, edible oil is on the unabated run, price of daily needs are hitting the roof..., Jokara is simply seeking input for his Mon ki bath from citizen's... has no clue about economy..., Only good for chai pe charcha.., Let temple town Udupi's Lord Krishna bless our honorable FM abundantly with the knowledge & wisdom to set right the dilapidated Economy of Hindustan....(every second person on the street feeling nervous ... after watching/seeing our Neighboring country).

    Majoritarian govt have shown their colors in SRILANKA! even the majority religion in Pakistan and vice versa. People don't be emotional or devotional when it comes to National interest! don't fall prey to these politicians.     When Raghavendra co-op bank went in trouble, depositors asked her to help. She replied "Did I advise you to invest ?". When PMC bank was in trouble, she told RBI to pay one lakh insurance money and tell the people to shut their mouth.
