Mangaluru, May 14: DCP law and order Hariram Shankar inaugurated the two-day national level inter-collegiate PG management fest ‘Magma – 2022’ here at Srinivas University, Pandeshwar campus on Saturday May 14.

Speaking on the occasion, Hariram Shankar said, “There are a lot more of opportunities in front of you. You have the potential which needs to be utilized. No job is small if the vision of what needs to be done is clear. We lack ground level work which is always important. Do not be shy in doing it. More you work on the ground level, the more you will understand the constraints and practicality.

“Failure is very important in your life. The lessons you learn from failures will make you humble. Luck and hard work should go hand in hand. Have a goal in your life. Do not discontinue it. There are less number of IPS aspirants from Dakshina Kannada despite of having talent and good level of smartness. Civil service has immense power to do good things,” he said.

Pro chancellor Srinivas University Dr A Srinivas Rao said, “When there is competitiveness, there should be active participation. The fest will explore the hidden talents which will improve your personality and help one gain confidence.”

Chancellor Srinivas University Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao said, “There is no substitute to hard work. Students need to have certain goals in their life and try to achieve them.”

Registrar Dr Anil Kumar and vice chancellor of Srinivas University Dr P S Aithal were present.

Dean of Institute of Management and Commerce Prof Keerthan Raj welcomed the gathering, and faculty coordinator Prof Venkatesh Amin rendered the vote of thanks. Chirag and Shwetha Bhat compered the event.
