Mangaluru: ‘Assure to maintain law and order in Malali mosque dispute’ - ADGP Alok Kumar

Mangaluru May 26: ADGP law and order Alok Kumar said, “We will assure to maintain law and order by taking all kind of preventive measures regarding the Malali mosque dispute.”

Speaking to media on Thursday May 26, Alok Kumar said, “Mangaluru range is a sensitive region in the state. In the next one year, several activities will be in full swing including elections. I will meet the officials and chalk out the action plan in the coming days on the issues cropping up in the next one year. It is predict and assess policing. We should predict what problem may arise in the next one year and discuss in that direction with the officials.

“We are also looking into narcotic issue as Mangaluru is connected to the border. Things get complicated when it comes to narcotics. There should be regular border meeting to have better coordination so that we can control illegal flow of arms and narcotics in a better way. I will also asses the work of social media monitoring cell as cyber related offences are on the rise which is now replaced the older offences,” he said.

Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar was present.
