Bantwal: Entrepreneur Roshan Serrao dies in car-truck collision

Bantwal, Jun 1: A collision occurred between a tanker and a Maruti car near Chandthimar, Bantwal on B C Road – Punjalkatte highway in the afternoon of Wednesday, June 1.

Madanthyar resident Roshan Serrao, a catering business owner who was driving the car was critically injured in the accident and was admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru. However, it is said Roshan Serrao passed away in the hospital without responding to treatment.

Both the vehicles which fell by the roadside side were damaged in the incident. Bantwal station police personnel arrived at the spot and conducted investigations.

    Very sad, May his soul rest in Peace!!! Transport Department should make safety/crash testing mandatory for all 4-wheeler vehicles and regulate it before allowing them to Indian Roads to prevent all such mishaps in future... S-Presso is a just a plastic box and is not fit for Highway Driving!!!!

    any four-wheeler cars will not save driver when it collide with these type of mighty and heavy trucks... we need to think about changing the designs of trucks (exmpl - reduce of height, visibility of driver, speed control. etc
