Udupi: Depressed youth makes suicide bid, police foil attempt, rescue in swift time

Udupi, June 2: The Udupi police on Thursday, June 2, successfully and swiftly foiled a suicide bid made by a youth.

The youth has been identified as Rohan Rajesh Jithanna who attempted to end his life in a hotel lodge by slitting his wrist.

Rohan Rajesh Jithanna was said to be in a state of depression due to family problems. After cutting his wrist with a knife Rohan called his friend Aditya in Mangaluru who in turn alerted the Mangaluru police control room immediately.

Udupi police which got an alert from the Mangaluru control room acted swiftly by informing the Udupi police. Under the guidance of inspector Pramod Kumar the police reached the lodge quickly and rescued Rohan who was lying in a semi-conscious state.

The police then rushed Rohan to a hospital for suitable treatment and rescued Rohan's life.

The presence of mind and timely action taken by the Udupi police came in for appreciation from all quarters.

    Once attempted usually such people do it again... I wonder if he will get warmth required as he has family problems... In such conditions only family can save him as friends will have limited time due to their own livelihood... I pray for peace in his mind...

    Current regime is the root cause of all problems. People cannot able to bear the family requirements due to the wrong policies of nikammi sarkar. High inflation, unemployment has become the core issues for common man.

    With finding him quickly problem is not solved .Keep him under watch in klinik.Provide him some psychological help.If Possible help him what problem he has.All people are not same .Hope he recovers quickly.
