It is said that the leopard fell into the well owned by Vasanth Kotian Jala of Navara in the night on Wednesday June 1.

The leopard made efforts to come out from the well, but in vain. Locals informed the forest department officials. A team of 15 members arrived in the afternoon from Karkala. Finally, the officers succeeded in rescuing the leopard, putting it into a cage after trapping it in a net.
