Puttur: Accusation of conversion in prayer center, police deny allegation

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (MS)

Puttur, Jun 6: Uppinangady police raided Moriya prayer center at Arla near Konalu of Nellyadi on the accusation that 27 people of Shivamogga origin are called in order to convert them.

When the police raided the prayer center they found 27 people. Out of them 18 were women, eight were men and one was a six-year-old boy. When police interrogated them they said that they are from Shivamogga and some of them are alcohol addicts while others are having psychological disorder. They clarified that they saw on YouTube that health will improve through prayers so that they came to the prayer center by bus on their own cost and no one has forced them to attend the prayers.

In addition, they also clarified that they have not come for religious conversion but only to get cured from their disorders.

The members of Hindu organizations were with the police during the raid.

Salute to the police force. Good job by supporting truth. Now they have a task to investigate and file FIR against false accusation and creating fear and terror for minorities.

High time for Hindu organisations to start their own prayer centres to cure alcohol addiction and psychological problems and upload them on youtube. This will solve the problem of other community people going to Christian centres.

There is power in true prayers with the God. We humans have differentiated the creator in different ways and faiths. There are also some fake Gurus who cheat and perform Occult and with help of Evil sprit and lots of people fall prey to such scrupulous performers.

Why are these prayer groups inviting these people and getting into trouble with unproven claims of curing addictions etc?

Addictions are cured through counselling. Prayer is a part of such counselling. FMMCH is providing psychiatric and homeopathic treatment for addicts.

Not surprising, many such incidents are expected in future. Every effort will be made to misuse the anti-conversion law.

i have already asked many members of our community not to allow non-christians inside church and prayer centers. the main reason is these kind of allegations. let us pray for them but do not bring them inside. why to unnecessary get into these kind of false allegations? i know as christians we should not do this. but organizations like vhp bd etc do not understand and they think ill of us
