Mangaluru: Rowdy sheeter Raja murder case – Two accused arrested

Mangaluru, Jun 9: Two accused were arrested by the police in the case pertaining to the murder of rowdy sheeter Raja alias Raghavendra (28), who was attacked with swords on the evening of Monday near Meenakaliya Road of Baikampady in the city.

Raja was attacked when he was going towards Meenakaliya in scooter around 6.30 pm. Though he was admitted to hospital, he succumbed to the injuries in the night of Monday.

Raja was main accused in the murder case of Guddekoppa Sandesh, who was killed in 2019 November at a bar at Surathkal. Nine people including Raja were arrested in that case.

Raja who was in prison for a year was released in 2020 and got married. Monday was his wife’s birthday and he was at home itself as there was celebration. On the evening he went out to buy some snacks, when he was attacked. Police have arrested two accused in the case.
