It is also a motivation for others to come out and involve in social service and help the needy. She was speaking after receiving felicitation by dignitaries on behalf of All Banks' Christian Employees Association during the 20th anniversary celebration at St Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall here on Saturday, June 11.

She also congratulated members of the All Banks' Christian Employees Association for 20 years of social service. " I thank you for showering so much love and honour on me, I am extremely humbled by the appreciation and good wishes by all of you," she said.

"Let students get the motivation to come forward and pursue such career paths, at the outset which may not look attractive but they have their own incentives in the path of services and dedication like the public service," she added.

She also called upon other organisations and institutions in the city to involve in the social service as done by the All Banks' Christian Employees Association." Your work is a call to other organisations to come forward and help others and start such kinds of associations to do such kinds of activities for the public.

All Banks' Christian Employees Association can approach her if in any case any student wants to know about the civil service examinations.

She also said that banking services delivered by the people from Mangaluru is always unique.

MLA U T Khader said, "Such social service done by the All Banks' Christian Employees Association is a model for future generations. These kinds of activities will transform society. Forming an organisation is easy but continuing its legacy for decades is really difficult."

Lauding the Christian missionaries for their contribution in the field of education, he said," There is an immense contribution of Christian missionaries to the field of education in the district. Wherever you go you can find schools built by the priests, in any interior area in the district. Later, others were inspired by this and started schools."

Chairman of MCC Bank Anil Lobo speaking on occasion said, " All Banks' Christian Employees Association is doing a noble cause for the society. It should also think about what else it can do for the young students of the community. In earlier days there were people from the community in all the nationalised and the co-operative banks but it is gradually declining."

"In future, All Banks' Christian Employees Association should hold a training programme on how students can crack the banking examinations. Parents of the students should also motivate students to write banking examinations, which has job security too and it allows the candidate to climb up to reach higher positions," he added.

In his presidential address, Walter Nandalike, Founder of Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd, said, "Felicitation to Mishal Queenie D'Costa Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Deputy Director of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Mumbai is a matter of great pride for the community. Though she is in such a big position she is so humble, simple and down to earth."

"At present, as the people from the Christian community are not interested in joining the banking sector, people from the community are facing problems in communication. Hence, the organisation should take up training programmes on banking examinations for the youth," he added.

The community will be strong when the people in the community reach the top positions by cracking the civil service examinations. "When your children become a deputy commissioner or a police commissioner, think how great it is for family and for the community." he added.
