Bengaluru, Jun 14: Covid and Dengue cases are rising in the state day by day. In the last seven days, 2845 corona positive cases have been reported, while 1838 cases of Dengue have also been registered till June 10. Compared to last year, the Dengue cases are up by 50 percent.

Monsoon has just begun and these dengue causing mosquitoes thrive in stagnant water. In BBMP limits, 388 cases have been reported while the numbers in Udupi, Mysuru, Chithradurga and Koppala are 217, 171, 105 and 94 respectively.

The government is already taking strict measures to control both Covid and Dengue. The Asha workers are visiting every ward and creating awareness among the public.

Covid cases are also on the rise in the capital city. On Monday, June 13, 429 people tested positive for coronavirus. The number of infections are more in 10 wards under BBMP limits. Most of the infected people are from Mahadevapura and Bommanahalli wards. These are densely populated areas. In addition, people are not following Covid appropriate guidelines also. This has led to an increase in Covid cases, according to BBMP health officials.
