Udupi, Jun 25: Lasika Mitra 2.0 programme is planned in order to increase the speed of vaccination to face the possible ill effects of fourth wave of Covid-19.

ASHA workers will visit houses in the months of June and July and identify those who have not taken vaccination in all age groups and convince them to take the vaccination. Awareness programme about vaccination will be created among the public through frontline warriors.

Temporary vaccination centres will be opened in places where there are crowds like bus stands, railway stations, markets and weekly fairs. Mobile vaccination camps will also be organized for those who are unable to visit hospital or cannot walk or bed ridden.

Vaccination camps will be arranged on Wednesday in respective panchayats in coordination with medical officers. If anyone refuses to get vaccinated, members of panchayat, ASHA workers and community leaders should convince them.

Getting vaccinated is very important in order to prevent the spread of Covid. Lasika Mitra 2.0 is organized in order to increase vaccination drives.
