Mangaluru: Speeding motorcycles collide head-on - One dead, another injured

Mangaluru, Jun 26: Students of the same college who were riding on two motorcycles, collided head-on near the Vijaya College ladies hostel at Mulki. While one student died, another was seriously injured. This accident occurred on Saturday June 25 night.

Both the riders of motorcycles are residents of Mulki. The deceased is identified as Manish, a resident of Kakwa and degree student of Vijaya College. Deekshith, a resident of Kavathar suffered serious injuries.

The riders of both motorcycles were battling for life for half an hour on the road itself after the accident. As ambulance or any other vehicles were not available, they were taken to hospital in an auto rickshaw by local city municipality member Balachandra Kamath and two others.

The bikes were badly damaged due to the impact of the collision. The accident occurred while Deekshith tried to overtake an auto rickshaw that was approaching from Vijaya College end.

    Our Traffic department Police is responsible for this, because they don't take action with those offenders who ride rashly. They only can control this by booking each and one offenders. They stop only one out of hundred.

    Rip to them, also didn't knew there are many 2 wheeler experts here. Why only blame parents, students and government. Why nobody is blaming the auto driver?. It is a good practice for the vehicle in front to guide the overtaking vehicle Incase there are vehicles coming the front.

    The road accident s are increasing. Hence condition of road and speed capacity to the road is to be examined and fixed. Proper inspection is required. Instead of glorifying the donation of body parts precautionary measures is to be taken by the department to save the life of innocent

    Alwin sir, you are 100% correct. But my request with vehicles riders that before entering the road, they must clearly watch the condition of the road and reduce their speed. Mangalore roads are worst after the concrete, because every 50 meters they are digging for repairing for one or other mistake while laying the concrete.

    most 2 wheelers wear helmets, just 4 show or 2 escape from da police eyes. however dey dupe themselves. dey do not apply the strings given in the helmets 2 tie 2 one's jaws.

    now u r blaming teenagers saying which teenager is listening 2 parents. parents do not realise their own shortcomings. now a days parents have 1 or 2 children. many couple don't want children at all. themselves wanted 2 enjoy. when dey realise, children r must, their own time expires. later go 2 pray oh God at least provide is a child. dictating God 2 give 1 1nly child.

    reckless, careless, irresponsible driving. is a final word in this case. after the erroneous mistake from the children parents surely mourn and cry for their children because they are the parents. Therefore while, one is alive should correct themselves.

    the way the bikes are mangled i feel they must be above 100 when collided or at least one of them....really tragic for the parents of these irresponsible young men...probably this happened because they were trying to impress the girls? it says ladies hostel road....may be just guessing...most of the students eithter do drugs or consume alcohol also..

    2 Wheeler motorists on the roads are brazenly careless ..They somehow feel that they can sneak in .. from left ,right and center .. Their stunts increase multifold when there is a beautiful girl around.. Anyways .. Om Shanthi to the departed soul.
