Puttur: Youth booked under POCSO Act, arrested from Mysuru

Puttur, Jun 26: Uppinangady police arrested Munasir (21) who is accused of enticing a school going girl of dropping her to school in car, taking to lodge, having physical relation and absconding.

The girl, a resident of Karaya in Beltangady taluk and victim of the incident, was forcibly made to sit in car by accused Munasir on two occasions of May 30 and June 7 on the pretext of dropping her to school and took her to lodge at Uppinangady instead and raped her.

After physically assaulting the girl, the accused dropped her at Uppinangady bus stand and also threatened not to reveal the matter to anyone.

The police registered a case under POCSO and successfully arrested absconding accused from Mysuru. Court has sent him to judicial custody.

    No one has to rape even If girls are 100% not correct gentleman!! Do you realise Whose daughter she might be ? Whose sister she might be ? Who has given the authority to men to rape the girls if their behavior is not corrrct ????? Can he rape his own sister if her behavior is not correct ???? What comment are you putting up here ?? Will the rapist keep quiet if someone else rapes his sister/mother/daughter/wife on the ground of bad behavior???

    Even if the minor enticed him to have sexual relation, she cant be held responsible. The law says it, and it is right also. The responsibility is of the major.
