Mangalore: Reorganize Party in Dist, Lest We Resign – Upset Congressmen

Mangalore, Mar 23: The Congress party workers on Wednesday March 23 here have hinted to resign disgruntled with the present state of the party which was once numero uno in the district.
Speaking to press persons leaders – M G Hegde, S A Majid and Shashiraj Shetty said that the sincere party workers have decided to submit a memorandum to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chairman G Parameshwar appraising him of current state of the party in the district and injustice meted out to them. Since party workers are losers in the long-term due to internal bickering, the trio urged for sure shot solution for the same if not offering discontinuation from the party to find their own solution, thus saving their integrity.
They clarified that the memorandum is not a reminder of failures of the party in the district but is sincere representation of the grouse of the workers. They said the workers are saddened by the fact that the party no longer enjoys the prime state it had in all local organizations, co-operate organizations, ZP, City Corporation, parliamentary and legislative constituencies. Hereby we urge the top leaders to chalk out a plan to bring back the lost glory of the party.
Suggesting certain measures for reorganizing the party, the trio stressed on culture of collective work and and decision-making, complete devotion of time by district president whomsoever it may be, strengthening of the party at the grass root level by bringing together all leaders and expelling leaders who do not confirm to the party ideals, need for united ideology and programmes to fight against saffonization and delegation of work among others.
They urged leaders like Oscar Fernandes, Janardhan Poojary, Veerappa Moily, Ramanath Rai, Abhayachandra Jain and Vinay Kumar Sorake to deliberate on the issue together and come to a consensus for better organization of the party in the district.
