Kasargod, Jul 13: A vessel suspected to be a ship has become visible in the night since the last two days at Hosadurga in Kumble of Kasargod district in the deep sea.

The brightness of the light used in the vessel was visible throughout the sea shore. Members of the Karavali Jagrutha Samithi have noticed the ship-like vessel and filed a complaint with the Karavali police.

The officials of the Central Intelligence division are conducting a probe into the matter.

Indian Naval ships and vessels belonging to the Karavali Samrakshana force do not venture into the sea without passing through the port. But, a ship has been spotted close to the sea shore raising suspicions.

All the state governments have been notified about terrorists sneaking into the country through the sea and also indulging in smuggling of drugs, weapons and gold into the country. Such incidents are likely to be rampant during the night which is being investigated by the Central Intelligence division. The Centre has directed the Indian Navy and Karavali Samarakshana force to exercise vigil on the matter. 

Efforts are on at the official level to trace this ship.
