July 14: Dakshina Kannada reports eight Covid cases, four infections in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi, Jul 14: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday July 14, reported eight new coronavirus cases while four cases were registered in Udupi. 

The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,990 out of which 43 are currently active. As many as 19 patients were discharged on July 14. 

No deaths were reported on July 14. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,852.

 

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authorities. 

Positivity rate for the day stood at 0.96 percent. 

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,880 as fine in 96,212 incidents of mask violation. 

Udupi 

Four coronavirus cases were reported on July 14. The total active Covid cases are 22. 

A total of 10,88,995 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,79,305 have received both doses and 1,23,975 people have received booster doses.
