Ninth Annual Cricket Tournament of Media Sports Academy Begins in Metro

Mumbai, Mar 28: The ninth annual cricket tournament of Media Sports Academy began here on Saturday March 26.

The former Indian test cricketer Kiran More inaugurated the tourney at Purandar stadium, Dadar (East). The former cricketer Lalchand Rajput was the chief guest.



Over 102 cricket teams of media representatives from across Maharashtra are particpating in the tourney, while Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra ® partakes for the first time. The teams of both national and TV news channels functioning across the state are also competing in the tourney that will be concluded in a month.

Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharastra ® honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal and Jaya C Poojary were also present.

The academy president Jawahar Nadar welcomed the gathering. Honorary secretary Kelvin Joshua Udupi honoured the guests with flower bouquets. Rajesh K proposed the vote of thanks.

The former CM Vilasrao Deshmukh, Ashok Chavan, former home minister R R Patil, Maharashtra’s top police officer D Shivanandan, Maharashtra Navnirman Sene (MNS) president Raj Thackeray and bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and political leaders among others will participate in the valedictory ceremony, informed Media Sports Academy secretary Kelvin Joshua Udupi.

    Its been a wonderful experience in participating in the tournament which is held in good spirit and gives us opportunity to meet various professionals who make the information, entertainment going all through their daily life. feel equally enchanted to represent doordarshan, mumbai.keep up the good work jawahar nadar and his team.
