Mumbai, March 28 (IANS) Composer Lalit Pandit, who composed the smash hit item number "Munni badnam hui…" for "Dabangg", is ecstatic that it has entered the Guinness World Records, but feels his name should have also appeared along with the song.
"I think they should, but this is how the producers put it, you know. I'm happy that the song has gone (into the Guinness World Records). At least in India people know that I have composed the song. But I would have liked my name there. It would have been really nice," Lalit told IANS.
The song entered the Guinness World Records when 1,200 people danced non-stop to it at Melbourne Park in Australia.
However, he is happy that his creation has been honoured.
"It feels out of the world. I didn't imagine that the song will go to the Guinness World Records. This is a wonderful surprise and something very, very big that has happened (to my song)," said Lalit.
The song was picturised on Malaika Arora Khan. Salman Khan and Sonu Sood also feature in it.
Released last year, "Dabangg", the biggest box office grosser, was Arbaaz Khan's first film as a producer. It also marked actress Sonakshi Sinha and director Anhinav Kashyap debut in Bollywood.
