Mumbai, Apr 5: Swami Vishvapriyateertha of Admar mutt, Udupi began preaching Ramayana mythological text at their branch mutt located at Irla, Andheri (West) here on Monday April 4 evening. It was organized on account of Rama Navami Utsav.
Swami Vishvapriyateertha in his preaching said that the religious preaching enlighten the minds of people when natural calamities in the world threaten the mankind. Although the scientific analysis will not shed light on the circumstances leading to nature’s outburst, the mankind has to turn to God seeking for peace of mind. The devotion is the easiest way to reach the divine, said Swami Vishvapriyateerta.
Swami Vishvapriyateerta offered various puja on the beginning of nine-day celebrations here on Monday evening, ahead of Rama Navami.
Various puja celebrations, sacrificial rituals, cultural programmes, Bhajans, devotional singing, dance recitals, Harikata and other Vedic rites will be held at the occasion.
The metro’s talented artiste lawyer Geetha R L Bhat presented Harikata programme here on Monday evening.
India International Trade Centre (IITC) chairman S K Urwal, directors Prafulla S Urwal and Vikrant S Urwal, R L Bhat, Vedic celebrant Ramachandra Bhat Jogeshwari ans Srinivas Bhat among others were present.
Ramesh Bhat, manager of Admar mutt’s metro branch welcomed the gathering. Laxminarayan Mucchintaya compered the programme.
