Bantwal: Dubious Intention Exposed - Locals Ransack Spiritual Baba's Residence

Bantwal, Apr 6: A conman who fooled innocent locals in the name of spirituality and religion has been exposed on Tuesday April 5 at Bambila-Vogga here.

A local TV channel was telecasting the live report about one Abubacker Mastan's sexual abuses on women seeking to rid them of evil spirits. Shockingly, this was going-on since about 25 years in the locality. The fake baba was running spiritual sessions Amma Jan Baba Jan in his residence.

On watching the telecast, the enraged local residents on night of Tuesday April 5, ransacked his residence.

On the basis of information by the public, TV 9 channel spied on his functioning by installing hidden cameras at the Baba Abubakkar’s residence and soon telecast the shoddy-affairs of Baba under the title ‘Girigitle Baba’ on Tuesday night, when the angry mobsters pelted stones on Baba Abubbakar’s residence. 

Meanwhile, Baba Abubakkar who had prior information on the possible attack by the locals, fled the house. The policemen arrived at the spot and had to resort to mild-caning to disperse the mobsters.

Puttur ASP Rohini paid a visit to the crime spot. A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are on.

    In this same place (bambila) there are more 3 babas. one is hazrath kavalakatte, another bava avuliya. another one swami. police should save from them bambila people .

    Its a pity he ran away. Such people should be beaten up with chappals and punished severly. Now this conman wil go to some other city and fool the innocent poor people there.
    And people turn to such fiends due to lack of education. I hope the victims of this conman realise that education is as equal as religion and the best means to learn more about one's religion. We live in the Internet age, it is not so difficult to differentiate the real from the fake now.
