Dubai, Apr 7: India’s legendary multi-lingual singing star Padma Bhushan S P Balasubrahmaniam arrived in Dubai along with his singer sister S P Shailaja to perform at the much-awaited SPB Live in Concert that is set to take place on Friday April 8 at the Indian High School football ground at 7 pm.

With more than 35,000-plus songs recorded in several languages, ‘SP’ as he is fondly known, said that it was not easy to cater to all languages. However, he said that he will try and satisfy everyone at the concert on Friday with a variety of songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

"I have always enjoyed performing in front of the music-loving Dubai audience and ask everyone to come with the idea of enjoying the music irrespective of the language in which I would sing," he said.

A record crowd of 5,000 music lovers are expected to attend the event. Organiser Denzil Fernandes has finalized a fantastic stage setting with dazzling sound and lighting effects which will add glitz to the musical atmosphere.

SP promised a great time for all his audience and said that the show has been specially arranged with his talented sister and other performers as well. A full-fledged orchestra flying in from Chennai will take stage as SP and his group gets ready to rock Dubai. It will be a feast of multi-lingual musical delight which should not be missed at any cost.

With 35000 songs SPB must be the most prolific singer not only in Indian languages but also in the world. What a fantastic record. None can outdo it.

We wish him a great time in Dubai. There are innumerable fans waiting for him to sing some of his unforgettable classics. All the very best to my great friend Denzil. I hope the arena will be jam-packed and reverberating with their mellifluous voices.

Sir, please take care of the sound minus the usual mandatory dose of kar-kar and gir-gir.
