Mangaluru: Video song starring Leonilla D’Souza ‘Bepannah’ from Bollywood movie ‘Y’ released

Mangaluru, Aug 7: A video song ‘Bepannah’ from Bollywood movie 'Y' starring Leonilla D’Souza and Yuvan Hariharan was released on August 5 in Zee music channel.

'Y' is Leonilla D’Souza and Yuvan Hariharan’s Bollywood debut. They are playing the lead in the movie. Y is written and directed by Girideva and produced by Rocket Films, Roxy, Madhu GM and Dr Ajith. Karthik Mallur is DOP of the movie. Yuvan is also the executive producer of the movie.











Bepannah is sung by Ayushi Shah, lyrics are penned by Shambhu Kumar, and music composed by Maru brothers.

Y is a psychological thriller which is expected to release soon.

Speaking to Daijiworld, Leonilla said, “Y is my debut Bollywood film which I got through auditions. I should consider myself lucky to play a lead character in a female oriented film like Y. I had to play a matured character of a girl called Deeksha who has gone through a lot in life and is mentally unstable. Though it was challenging, I loved playing the character which will remain in my heart forever.”

About her preparation for the role, Leonilla said, “I had rehearsals for a week. The director helped me to understand the character by giving some examples and I used to enact the same. I even tried watching some films and prepared for the role.”

Apart from Y, Leonilla’s Kannada movie ‘Khasaagi Putagalu’ is expected to release soon.

Leonilla's hometown is Permude near Bajpe. She was born to Helen D’Souza and Lawrence D’Souza. Leonilla completed her schooling from Morning Star School Bajpe and St Ann’s School Mangaluru. She completed her PU at Canara College, before completing her engineering at Dr Ambedkar Institute of Technology Bengaluru. Leonilla is working in an IT company in Bengaluru.
