Bantwal, Aug 9: A two wheeler rider was killed when his scooter collided with a jeep near Ukkuda check post of Vittal on Kadoor-Kanhangad highway.

Dinesh (38), resident of Gumpaladka, is the unfortunate victim of this accident.

Though Dinesh was taken to Puttur hospital by locals and later shifted to Deralakatte for higher treatment, he succumbed on the way. This incident occurred when Dinesh was purchasing milk from Alangar and was going back home.
