London, April 9 (IANS) So what if her presentation as the host of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards alongside James Franco was criticised? Actress Anne Hathaway is still very proud that she had the golden chance to host such a prestigious event.

Hathaway says she felt "so much joy" when she hosted the Oscars, reports contactmusic.com.

"The experience was so big. The bigness of it was so overwhelming. But at the same time I felt so much joy to get to be a part of movie history. You know, the critics were tough. They said we were the worst show ever. I think that qualifies as tough!" she said.

However, the "Princess Diaries" star has not taken the criticism to heart.

"I think about the Oscars as several different experiences. There was the critical reaction, which was awful. Then there are the people who have been coming up to me since then who stop and say, 'I thought it was fantastic. I watched it with my family and we were entertained'. I am very grateful to those people."

"And then there's my memory of it - which is, whether it was great or whether it stunk, who knows? I still got to walk out at the Kodak (Los Angeles' Kodak Theatre) and see those people and someday I'll get to tell my grandkids about it," she added.

The 28-year-old did not clearly say whether or not she would host the Oscars again. "Why not? I don't know. Maybe. Perhaps. No."
