Mangalore, Apr 9:  The like-minded people of various unions will hold a protest meet in front of DC’s office on Monday April 11 at 4 pm to condemn various false allegations including that of conversion on some of the institutions involved in social service.

Some of the leaders and social workers informed the same through a press conference here on Saturday April 9. Such atrocities made on the Christian organizations have hurt the community and also has resulted in disturbance, they alleged.

When the wound caused by attack on churches is still fresh in the minds of Christians, the people with crude intentions are again trying to disturb the peaceful situation in Mangalore. It is evident through the series of untoward incidents that have taken place recently, said Mariamma Thomas, corporator and social worker.

False allegation of conversion on the owner of Jillus Caterers, attack on Ebenezer prayer hall in Haleyangady, attack on orphanage run by Lancelot Pinto, and recent attack on Stella Maris school children near PVS Circle all have been pre-planned and falsely targeted by miscreants to damage communal harmony, she said and questioned whether the government has given any contract to Bajrang Dal activists to safeguard the society in their own way.

She also said that the Christian institutions are doing social works and providing food, education and shelter to the needy and that is being stopped by Bajrang Dal activists and other harmful people.

Vasudeva Boluru, president, Ahinda, Melvyn Pinto, president of JPUCC, Krishnananda D, district convener, Karnataka Dalith Sangarsh Samithi, Sunil Kumar Bajal, district secretary CITU, Krishnappa Salian, district head of Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha, Denis D’Silva, state convener of Karnataka Christ Unions’ international federation among others were present during the press meet.

    Nagesh Nayak Bangaluru,
What kind of charity work you do personally other than your dirty comments? You are the most disturbed  man mentally as you know two things. One is CONVERSION and the other one is HINDUSM and nothing else.

Dear Mr. Nagesh Nayak ! Thanks for the comments. This is not boasting but praising the good work. What I mean Whoever may be a human being doing selfless service must be apprecaited. I too praise the e.g you only gave thats great and the work done by other faiths like Hindus and otheres. No doubt India is a big country and mahan country living together so many religions and traditions and customs. I too love and like the way we live in this big country.

Let us love and apprecaite the work done by each others. One can see in Bombay celebrating Christmas, Deepavali and Eid and Holi example of appreciating of our unity. I too agree that other faiths (Hindus , Muslims doing a lot of charity work). It is better to appreciate the good works as brothers and sisters of all people who are good hearted and kind.

Chrity work carried out every where in the world even in African,American,European,Middle East and Asian countreis, chrity work is divine work he use people to carry out his work and show the world he love world, the people who donot support the cahrity work should atleast take the pain to visit these places and see and experience how these charity workers risk their own life for others.

"I will have mercy on anyone I wishI will take pity on anyone I wish."So, then, everything depends, not on what we humans want or do,but only on God's mercy. Scripture says to the king of Egypt,"I made you king in order to use you to show my power and to spread my fame over the whole world. So, then, God has mercy on anyone he wishes, and he makes stubborn anyone he wishes.(Romans9:15-18)

It was attacking the Churches, but
now the strategy has changed to
    a different level.

    What Mr. Shahnawaz Kukkikatte said
    is totally true.

I can't understand the mindset of
those people who are throwing stones at the serving Christians.
They tell the Christians, " serve
only the Christians". How that is
possible? When I see a hungry
person of any religion, it is my
duty as a Christian to feed that
person. If I discriminate a needy
person because of his or her
    religion, that is a painful
spiritual and emotional experience to suffer.

Charity works if done as a service to humanity it is fine. If it is done with any ulterior intention it is not fine. No one is forcing the other to do charity so taking a high moral ground is not relevant.
If the communal harmony has to be preserved, there must be a serious thinking to ban conversions. Not talking from Sangh Parivar's perspective, but from a practical point of view. We are living in a balance of trust and mistrust, harmony and disharmony etc. and it is inevitable that we must try whatever actions to keep that balance. Banning conversion is not against any religion after all. Again let us not debate the question of personal freedom to choose one's religion here. Such logics work in an ideal world and we are no longer living in such a world.

I feel sorry for the Government of Karnataka. it certainly looks like that it is supporting the Bajrang Dal to carry the wicked work and spread hatred amongst the peace loving people of karnataka.
We the christians should think our own downtroden people and help them instead of helping other religion and get the blame. Let Bajrang Dal help the others, so that they will understand the meaning of charity .

This is preplanned by BJP and its goons to shift the attention of citisens from non-performance by Govt. Till date the BJP Govt has not done any active work. Even the education, health, stay of poor children should be looked after by the Govt thru CWC. Urge Catholics to only help poor and needy from their community and the Hindus educate them to get the help from Govt. I am sure the Govt. will have to relent or else loose in the next election not only children all needy people to be referred to Govt. and seen to it they get their needs satisfied afterall Govt is using tax payers money for buying land for his generation.

    Dear Readers,
It's high time to stop accepting such orphans or needy people who want to be educated at free of charge and to reside in Christian institutions too.

My sincere advise is if anyone approaches with such children or Christian charity institutions would like to accept such orphans should seek APROVAL certificate from the local police station or register their names in the police station. Moreover, it's wise to seek and inform Children welfare committee(if it's there in Mangalore)in such acceptance of children so that BD or any other outfits will not carry out such dirty claim insulting publicly Christian noble charity work. If I am wrong please correct me. thanks.

It is high time christians all over Mangalore unite alongwith the social activists to fight against the Evil Bajarang Dal. We need to eradicate the menace often carried out by Bajarang Dal and this anti social organisation should be banned for ever. The police must take stern action on the Goondas and keep law and order intact in Mangalore. It is time now for christian youth to come forward and deal the situation with agressive campaign and put an end to Bajarang Dal.

It is very sad that in a democratic country, Christians have to prove each and every good work they do. The sisters have been doing a good job in various sections of society working for the poor and downtrodden. However, I urge other religions to play their part in also helping the poor and downtrodden of society. If our country has to progress, we all have to work together to eliminate poverty, and educate our children. Lets us try and build a better, brighter India.

One after another, pre-planned attacks from Jillus Caterers, on Ebenezer prayer hall in Haleyangady, on orphanage run by Lancelot Pinto, and recent attack on Stella Maris school children should be the signature move from Ash Nayak who took over charge as the president of committee,a cheap selling strategy to appease her masters to terrorize the Christian community at the behest of BD and group.

Christian Institutions and Organisation in South Canara should have some introspection. It is high time that we restrict our service of charity to our own community. Let's not find out the parameters who's poor among our community but help whoever is willling to accept the same. If the community members are well-off, that itself will be a model to others to emulate.

Christianity's impact on the India has been deeper and more widespread than its minority status would suggest. Although Christians officially comprise only 1.8 percent of the Indian population , Christian schools, colleges, hospitals and charitable institutions have extended Christianity's impact into vast areas of resiliently non-Christian society. Today, Christian colleges consistently rank among the nation's best, having educated many generations of India's non-Christian, as well as Christian, elites. Even Mohandas K. Gandhi, who was inspired by the life of Jesus Christ, was educated at a mission school—although he opposed Christian missionaries to the end of his life.

The series of incident against social institution of Christians makes us feel that the target is pre planned, organaised and deliberated. However worrying factor is govt agencies also dancing the tune of BAJARANGIS including police department is a unfortunate development in DK.

Time is rife for all Christian NGOs to look in to the seriousness of attack against them and draw an strategy to counter the anti- national activities of BAJARANGIS.

Christians should learn to serve and take care of our own community instead of serving ungrateful people. When our children do not get admission in our own Institutions, the ungrateful community children gets admission and later they act against us.

The best remedy is all catholic orphanages should abandon people of other religions. Catholic institutions are meant to serve catholic people and not people of other religions. When you follow this principle the problem will be solved. We dont need any certificate from other religions that we are are a service oriented community.Let Asha Nayak and her organisation look after the destitutes. I ask our catholic missionaries what is the need to have people of other religions to follow our religion ? Why you catholic missionaries need to do service to other community when there are so many poor and orphans in our community ? Why you catholic missionaries need to spend millions of rupees for the betterment of the people of other religion when there are so many poor and downtrodden in our own community. Jago Catholic missionaries..Jago...Now the time has come for you to be alert.

From the very recent developments invloving hindu hardline organisations spreading false allegations against the christian community in our state, it looks like that there is a state sponsored cospiracy to blame and prosecute the christian community in Karnataka. We need leaders like Anna Hazare who can stand against the communual bias of any government. We shall respect those govts who treats all its citizens on their merits and not on the basis of religion. We are capable of bringing down the government which doesnt protects the minorities and their interests. We got good inspiration from Sir Anna Hazare..
