Mangalore: Visa Fraud Exposed – Accused Henry Dantis in Police Mesh

Mangalore, Apr 10: The Bunder police here have arrested a man accused of conning people by collecting cash and passport from them with the assurance of providing visa.
The accused has been identified as Henry Dantis who basically hails from Kadandale and was presently residing in Mumbai.
Henry was arrested by the police after they received a complaint lodged against him by Santhosh Tony D’Souza(27) of Mary Hill and others.
On information of obtaining student visa of Singapore Santhosh met Henry and handed over his passport and Rs 90,000 nine months ago. Santhosh has neither received his visa yet nor is Henry ready to return his passport, stated Santhosh in the complaint registered to the police.
Santhosh further said that whenever he requested Henry to atleast return his passport he demanded him more money and even threatened to take away his life.
It is accused that, along with him Henry has also cheated many others including Naveen D’Souza(Rs 75,000), Arun John D’Souza(1,80,000), Santhosh Kodda(60,000) and Valerian Alfred D’Souza(60,000) with the similar assurance of providing visa. Even many nursing students have fallen prey to his deceitful words. Police are further investigating on the matter.
