Mumbai, Apr 11: The relocated central suburban, Govandi branch of Bharat Co-operative (Mumbai) Bank, a multi-state schedule bank was inaugurated at Vikrant Industrial Estate, Govandi (East) near Chembur here on Monday April 11.
All India Billava Federation president and Bharat Co-operative Bank former chairman Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the relocated branch.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaya Suvarna said that the bank is in progressive path due to its quick response to expand branches across the nation. The customers who have strong trust with the bank can vouch for its social commitment, said Jaya Suvarna.
Vasudev R Kotian said that the spacious relocated branch provides more customer-friendly services including parking and other amenities. It was a need to modernize the branches with state-of-the-art facilities, in order to improve the customer relations and employees' efficiency, he added.
Lawyer Rohini Salian said that the success of co-operative bank lies in its customer’s trust on security of their deposits, besides the efficiency of board of directors, said Rohini.
Bharat Co-operative Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian inaugurated the banking facilities. The deputy chairperson lawyer Rohini J Salian inaugurated the locker facility and Jaya Suvarna inaugurated ATM kiosk.
The local builder Chinnayya Gowda was also present on the dais.
Vidwan K Sadashiv Shanti and performed various puja celebrations at the relocated branch on the occasion.

The b ank’s chief manager C R Mulky, Anil Kumar R Amin, deputy chief manager Professor Shekar Poojary, assistant chief managers Vivek S Shanbagh, Suresh S Salian, Shobha Dayanand and Nithyanand D Kotian were also present.
Govandi branch manager Jayant N Poojary welcomed the gathering. Assistant branch managers Kalavati Bolar and Asha Bangera honoured the guests. Suresh Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks.
