Mumbai, Apr 15: The 37th branch of metro-based Bharat Co-operative Bank, a multi-state scheduled co-operative bank, was inaugurated at Anil Nivas, B P Road, Bhayandar (East), on Friday April 15. It’s the 28th branch of the bank in Maharashtra.
Billavar Association president and Bharat Co-operative Bank former chairman Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the branch.
Dr Suresh Chavan inaugurated banking transactions while bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian inaugurated the ATM kiosk.
Speaking on the occasion, Jaya Suvarna said that the Bank has achieved rapid progress owing to the efficiency of the board of directors, as well as the commitment and dedication of Bank employees.
He said that the Bank has the potential to become one of the fastest growing banks in the country.
Vasudev R Kotian said that the bank operates under the stringent norms of the RBI in order to get top ranking among co-operative banks in the metro.
Renowned priest K Sadashiv Shanti performed various religious rituals at the newly-inaugurated branch.
Bank directors Y Nagesh, L V Amin, Jyothi K Suvarna, M B Sanil, Jagannat V Kotian, Mohan G Poojary, Chandrashekar S Poojary, Shankar D Poojary, Rohit M Suvarna, Bhaskar M Salian and Ratan Umesh Sanil, and CEO Bhaskar K Amin were present.
Congress leader Vittal S Poojary, Billavar Association local committee president Jayaprakash Poojary, Anil Nivas building owner Anil Bapat, entrepreneurs Naveen Karkera and Suresh Karkera, Bunts Sangh Mira – Bhayandar local committee president Harish Kumar Shetty, Santhosh Rai Bellipady, Chitrapu K M Kotian, the bank’s customers, and local social activists conveyed best wishes.
The bank’s chief managers Chandrashekar R Mulky and Anil Kumar R Amin, deputy chief manager Professor Shekar Poojary, assistant chief managers Vivek S Shanbagh, Suresh S Salian, Shobha Dayanand, and Nithyanand D Kotian were also present on the occasion.
Shailesh S Shetty and Nirmala S Shetty also participated in the ‘puja’.
The bank’s Bhayandar (East) branch manager Praveen Bangera welcomed the gathering. Assistant branch manager Prakash Salian proposed the vote of thanks.
