Hospet, Sep 5: Gescom staff cut off power supply to a police station of a locality protesting against the police action to seize DJ during the immersion of the Ganesha idol here.

The police found that the Gescom staff had violated rules and were dancing on the road using a DJ late in the night on Friday on their way to immerse the Ganesha idol.

The police booked cases against 10 members of the Gescom staff.

Angered by the police action, Gescom staff cut off power supply to a police station of a locality for more than an hour on Saturday morning leaving the police staff high and dry.

Later, the power supply was restored after the higher officials intervened in the matter.
