New Delhi: 'Shotgun' Sinha to get Dada Saheb Phalke Academy Award

New Delhi, Apr 20 (PTI) Bollywood star Shatrughan Sinha has been chosen for this year's Dada Saheb Academy award for their contribution to cinema.

While Shotgun Sinha will be bestowed with Dada Saheb Phalke Academy legendary artiste award, and his daughter, 'Dabangg' fame Sonakshi Sinha will get Dada Saheb Academy best debut award.

"The award will be given away at a glittering ceremony at Mumbai on May 3," filmmaker Pahlaj Nihlani, who is the trustee of the academy, told PTI.

"Shatrughan Sinha has been chosen for the award in recognition of his long innings in the film world and an equally successful run in politics," Nihlani said.

There are eight trustees of the Dada Saheb Phalke academy including Pahalaj Nihalani and film star Mithun Chakraborty.

    Shatru, is one of the respected Bollywood actor and BJP leader who was not accomndated as should be by BJP.His love & hate relationship with BJP leadership made him to remain in backseat for quite long time.Sinha even though is in BJP, never propagted divide and rule policy in his political career.I salute him and adore him for being honoured with the great DADA SAHEB PALKE AWARD.
