Kaup: Unidentified vehicle hits duo – Man dies on spot, son seriously injured

Kaup, Sep 14: A man died on spot and his son seriously injured after an unknown vehicle hit them here on Wednesday September 14.

The incident took place In front of the Uchila Mahalakshmi Temple on national highway 66.

The deceased is identified as Prabhakar Kotha from Belagavi. His son Samarth (14) suffered serious injuries. Prabhakar and his son Samarth had come from Belagavi on Tuesday night by a government bus to enrol their son in a private school here in Kaup.

K C Poovaiah, circle inspector, Purushottam, Padubidri SI and staff visited the spot and undertook investigation.
