Mangaluru: ‘Rachana’ presents Entrepreneurship Programme to St Aloysius ITI students

Mangaluru, Mar 17: ‘Rachana’ an association of entrepreneurs in the city, on Mar 16 conducted an Entrepreneurship Information Programme for the students of St Aloysius ITI at their premises.

The purpose of the programme was to motivate minds to take up entrepreneurship. Stany Alvares, president, ‘Rachana’; Louis J Pinto, convener, ‘Rachana’ Entrepreneurship Development Cell; Fr Eric Mathias SJ, director of St Aloysius ITI were present at the occasion.

Sathish Maben was the main resource person. Speaking on the occasion Stany Alvares said, "‘Rachana’ has been in existence for the past 19 years and since four years has been actively involved in motivating the youth towards entrepreneurship. We conduct entrepreneurship programmes all over the district and inspire youth to take up self employment thereby generating employment in addition to creating a financially rewarding future.”



Resource person Sathish Maben explained the qualities required in a person to be an entrepreneur. He also provided elaborate information on the facilities provided by the central and state governments to start a firm and the procedures to be followed.

Interacting with the students Louis Pinto said, “A person will not become an entrepreneur by just attending the programme. He needs to have a dream to be an entrepreneur and ‘Rachana’ will help in realising that dream.”

Principal of the institution Vincent Mendonsa extended a hearty welcome to everyone. U Kiran, convener of the programme was also present.

The programme was well received and appreciated by the students.
