Mumbai: Nagamandala festival celebrated at Nageshwara temple

Mumbai, May 10: The Brahmakalashotsava committee of Kachuru Nageshwara temple, Barkur, Udupi celebrated Sampoorna Nagamandala Vaibhavotsava festival here on Tuesday May 8.

The day long religious rituals involved several priests and large number of devotees.

State awardee social worker Shantarama Shetty Barkur, Krishna Vittala Foundation Mumbai founder Vidwan Vishwanath Bhat, Kairabettu, Udupi municipal councilor Navin Bhandary, Bhandary Mahamandala president Sadashiva Bhandary Sakleshpur, international fame hair designer Dr Shivarama K Bhandary Mumbai, Bhandary Seva Samiti Mumbai former president Balakrishna P Bhandary, women's wing president Shobha Suresh Bhandary, film actor Kadandale Saurabh S Bhandary and social worker Shambhu Shetty were on the dais.



Kachuru Nageshwara temple service trust vice president U Ganesh Haleangady and Varalaxmi Nagesh, treasurer Sanjiva Bhandary Bannanje, joint secretary Poornima Shivaram Bhandary, joint treasurer Varija Vasudeva Bhandary, Brahmakalashotsava committee vice president Subhash Bhandary Udupi, Kutpadi Ashok Bhandary, Sharada Vittal Bhandary, treasurer Sathish Bhandary Kadabettu, convener Madhava Bhandary Kuloor, Vishwanath Bhandary Kadabettu, Vijay Bhandary Byloor, Birthi Gangadhar Bhandary, office bearers and members of Bhandary Mahamandala and Bhandary Seva Samiti Mumbai were present.

Kadandale Suresh Bhandary welcomed everyone and delivered the keynote address. Sunitha Sathish Bhandary sang a prayer song. Office bearers presented mementos and flower bouquets to the guests and felicitated them. Sandhya Bhandary introduced the guests and compered the programme. Seva trust honorary secretary Somashekar thanked the gathering.

Meghamala Poojary performed Bharatanatyam and well known artistes 'Gadayudda' presented a historical yakshagana play. Krishna Vitala Foundation Mumbai founder Vidwan Vishwanath Bhat Kairabettu recited Samudra Mathana – Amrathotsava and students of Alva's Institute Moodbidri presented a cultural programme.
