William Noronha (72), husband of Teresa Noronha, father of Allwyn and Melwyn, residing in Udyavar, passed away in a private hospital in Udupi on Thursday July 19, 2007.

Noronha was a popular personality around Mukamar and Udyavar as he was known for helping the poor and needy over the past many years. He was called the 'Architect of Mukamar' parish, as he was instrumental in having a new church built and also in the formation of the parish when it was carved out of Belman Parish.
In Kuwait, he was extremely popular for his helping nature as he provided jobs to hundreds of Mangaloreans by using his public relations skills.
Later moving over from Mukamar, he settled down in Udyavar where he became popular though his enterprising and helping nature.
He is survived by wife and two sons. His death is mourned by a large number of well-wishers and friends from all over the world.
