Fr Richard Sequeira SJ (90), son of the late Albert Sequeira & Pauline Pinto (Makale, St Agnes ward), brother of the late Norbert Sequeira, the late Gilbert Sequeira, the late Lizzy Sequeira, Rosie M V Fernandes, the late Sr Carmelita TARBES, the late Sr Linus A.C., the late Patrick Sequeira, Sr Carissima AC (Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill, Mangalore), the late George Sequeira, and Carmelita Dias, passed away on friday 10, 2025.

Funeral will be held on Sunday, January 12, at 3.00 pm in Mount St Joseph, Bannerghatta, Bangalore.

Fr Richie was a great person who lead a life of humility and simplicity.. A man of great knowledge and wisdom, an exemplary teacher, an outstanding sportsman !! We have seen multiple examples how he helped the less fortunate and those in need...Even in his death he chose to be useful to others by donating his body to the medical field.. Indeed he was a living saint!! Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, May perpetual light shine upon him.. May he continue to intercede for us.. May he rest in peace...

I had the privilege to learn lessons in religion at Kulshekar church in my school days. He laid a solid foundation. Ever grateful to him. Rest in peace dear Fr. RICHARD. I met Fr Richard on 30 June 1954, and we have been friends ever since. His exemplary life reflected the Jesuit motto "Man for others". He gave his all without counting the cost. His life has been an inspiration to me and will continue to be so until I meet him with all the Saints. My heartfelt condolences to the Karnataka Jesuits.
