We commend to your prayers the soul of Sr M Canice BS, nee Jane Lily Pinto, who departed this life to her heavenly reward on 18.07.2014 at 10.45 am in the 55th year of her Religious Profession and 78th year of her life. She hails from Karkala, in Udupi dist, and is the daughter of Paul Pinto and Clara Dias and the youngest sister of the late Raymond Pinto, the late Camil Pinto, the late Mary, the late Ellu, the late Jane. She died of massive cardiac arrest. She was a member of Stella Maris Convent, Sultanpur in the Eastern Province.  May her soul rest in peace.

Sr Canice has served in Mudigere, Kulshekar, Bangalore, Mulki, Sultanpur, Bethany Convent, Mangalore, Ludhiana, Ranchi, Bajpe, Bathinda, and Samalkha, as a teacher, Superior of communities, and in-charge of candidates. She was the Regional Superior of North and North East Region for 6 years.

Her funeral rites will be at St Joseph’s Cathedral, Allahabad.
