Mind Games..

Have you ever thought of being on Jupiter? Yes, yes the planet Jupiter or how about mars? Or just be the richest man in the world, or to lie on a bed made of gold and studded with diamonds and precious stones? Think playing a cricket match with your favorite IPL team? Ho it is a feeling like being on the top of the world. What? You think it’s impossible? Well my friends don’t be surprised but you could do that all a long time ago. You had all the materials required with you a long time before. You don’t believe me? Oh yes you can do that all with your own exclusive mastermind brain. Yes, that your imagination. You can surf through more clearly with your subconscious state of mind. I mean to say your dreams.

Trance is a state of mind in which you are in a sleeplike state but are aware of all the changes in your surroundings. You are controlling your body from within the core of your brain. Your body actually feels relaxed and all your body achieves equilibrium state. You get to control your emotions. You can also control your fears. In an extreme hypnosis state you can slowdown the rate of your heart beat resulting in lesser energy consumption by tour body. It is the most effective medicine for psychological problems it is also very cheap, it doesn’t even cost you a penny!

People have used the state of hypnosis for a lot of useful things, like healing. In ancient times priests used to make the patients calm and laid hands on the painful part of the patient and later closed his eyes in prayer. This actually helped the patient who was undergoing treatment to concentrate on that particular painful part. In this way the priest acted as a medium for the patient to attain healing by hypnosis. The priests were believed to posses supernatural powers. Actually the patient himself acquired healing by will power. Nowadays hypnosis is used by some surgeons to do painless surgery, especially in the dental field.

There are many means by which one can attain the state of trance or hypnosis. You can meditate or a hypnotist like mentioned before (the Priest) can help one attain hypnosis. One might think that if one has been hypnotized the hypnotist can control all the movements and make him do anything but the actual fact is that one will be aware and can control all the happenings (this is in accordance with the statement I made before that one will be aware of all the changes in the surroundings). But you will follow the hypnotists’ instructions only if you want to. It’s not as in movies, that a hypnotist controls a person and makes him do anything. If that was true then any person who could hypnotize would just control all and take place of ‘Almighty God’ and make all his servants, which I don’t think anyone has controlled this world through that type of hypnosis. Well music is also a type of hypnosis; the bands giving out concerts have most of the control over the people present. But they can’t make any person do anything for them.

If you have any sort of thought, there is a most probability of that thought becoming that night’s dream. Let’s just think you just went to watch a horror film and all those horror films’ scenes run in your mind the whole day, then I shall say that there is a maximum probability of that thought becoming that nights’ nightmare! So if you want good dreams keep on thinking something very good. Who knows you may have reading this article as your dream tonight. It’s only your large intelligent brain playing games or just rewinding and playing your life movie by editing it a little bit.

Hope all you readers might make meditating a habit. Prayer in other hand is also a type of meditation so pray regularly and make your life better. Wish all of you a very good life and the best of dreams.

Dont know whether you should call this hypnosis. This is more of thought power and your subconscious part of your mind. Whatever you see and hear and tend to ignore, gets stored in your subconscious mind and it plays back when you are sleep. In sleep your conscious is asleep but the other part is awake.

Whereas, for hypnotic healing you need to have lots of practice and connect with your subconscious. Its this positive or negative energy within you that reaches out to others and their willing submission to you, helps the healing to take place.
Whereas if its practicing meditation it surely helps in keeping your mind fit which ultimately keeps your body fit.
    Cheers!

Mind games are mind games. Tricking the mind with you being aware of it that you have tricked it, is a feeling that you carry on with whatever kind of mind game you indulge in. It's kind of fantasy world you might live in for the duration of your game. If it helps you, it helps you with the feeling that it is an artificial and nothing natural about it. Having said that, there's something one can do to slow down ones random thoughts and calm the mind and body. This has nothing to do with any imagination but simple observation of our natural breath and a few sensation that our body goes through all the time. Just observing them with an equanimous mind without controlling or reacting to them and no mantras and tantras here. The goal is just a simle relaxation of mind and body. It's tough, because monkey mind slips from your breath, being aware of this too is also observation. Try it out.

I have tried transcedental meditation and hypnosis etc in the past for quite a while, but sorry to say, didn`t help much. Only the thing that has worked for me so far to keep myself healthy, trimmed, active and mentally balanced is the regular and regimental physical exercise and activity which included brisk walking of one hour daily, a little bit of yoga every now and then, occasional swimming, strict balanced meals preceded by one or two scotch drinks, and, thankfully, so far so good. Sorry, Savney, I may be falling into only a minority! Interesting article though and keep writing!
