The sky stood still and the sun’s dazzling rays engulfed my sight. The crystal shinning roared all over the surroundings and the face of the Earth bloomed like a flower.
At once I blushed sensing the grandeur of love. Slowly my hearing grew sharp with the chirp of the birds, the squeak of the squirrels and the creeking of a door. In a few seconds a tiny voice whispered addressing me to incarnate myself in the mission of North Karnataka, in a small hamlet.
I set alone to an unknown place, culture and people. This challenged me to walk out from my four cornered wall and walk into a new horizon. I was gladly welcomed by a family and that day the infusion of love began. The happiness at home, a simple lifestyle and the warm heartedness of the people charged my spirit to adapt and make their living mine.
I had different experiences being in the village. Mainly the company of the children enthralled my heart. One fine morning I made up my mind to walk along with the children who were grazing cows. This was a beautiful experience, of standing under the scorching heat of the sun and leading the cows to the fields. This task of ours ended only in the evening. By then my face had grown pale, I became hungry and there was nothing to satiate me. However, watching the spark in the eyes of the children all my needs disappeared. I felt happy and was engrossed with their painful love.
It was the first time I witnessed these realities of illiteracy, unemployment, child labour and poverty. Till then I had only read in the books and heard from people. These painful realities marked my life and from this experience grew a vision in me. To be of help to these people and ease their pain.
By this extravagant experience there is now a passion within me to accomplish this vision and at any cost to satiate the thirst of the people. Ultimately by these people I have been infused with the grandeur of Love.
