Missed Moments

Will you guess the cost of my lost moments?

Stolen moments from my years of sunny side,
started to take me on a darker ride.

Bathing in the rain of rays,
Gazing at endless miles,
to bid farewell to the sunset;
Floating in the waves of warmth,
looking at the eyes of my partner;
Sleeping on the pillow of tender love,
hugging my darling daughter;
The feel of rarest love of my mother’s golden heart,
nourishing family relationships,
flourishing friendships,
quiet walks in the wood,
dreamy nights on a peaceful bed,
naughty noises of my kid,
spicy gravy of my granny,
cheery conversations with my nanny,
wise words from Dad’s side,
I know,I missed them all.

Lost moments were the precious moments...

Kinder talks with a stranger heart,
playful meet of friendly minds,
missing smiles while racing to the goal,
staying deaf to the cries of all,
moments to soothe the unfortunate ones,
the show of the art of wisdom from acts of courage,
getting drowned in the flow of my passion,
losing clouds of creative thoughts;
The gloom of my busy life missed to witness,
the bloom of flowers on my daily paths.

Ceaseless anxiety of useless worry,
Game of blame to run away from responsibility,
Joyful colors of play started to hide behind the dusty layers of ego,
Reality bites in spite of standing high on the economic capability,
Small things were the big things.

Missed moments as I climbed the illusion of success,
to be at the top to touch the roof,
but as I turned back the floor was missing.

The Sound Of Mind

The gaze of your eyes,
The feel of your words,
revealed the sound of thoughts,
from your mind that turned like the bed of nails.

A feeling like losing the ground,
came as tide of thoughts started to surround,
strain in body,stress in mind,
in spite of you staying in the midst of best around.

Nights sleep, days peace,
couldn’t find any space,
as thoughts started to race,
leaving your mind hungry for grace.

Passed thoughts haunted like ghost,
took the mind far from rest,
efforts to feel at your best,
went in vain prior to start.

A flower forgot to spread its fragrance,
The wind silently stopped its movement,
The sun started to hide from its brightness,
The gloom took away your days of gladness.

Is there a reason or is it due to the season?
Is it the nature or the nurture?
Is it the stress or lack of rest?
that made you to stay far from best.

I would like to see you at ease,
May I take up all your disease?
Doctor’s drugs, loved ones hugs,
will surely help your troubles to cease.

Dear, believe in your ability,
while accepting the reality of our vulnerability,
Don’t feel shy or quietly cry,
Take a step, get help and live life cheerfully.

The love for you is a symbol of dearness,
The poem is a step towards awareness,
Believe me,nothing lasts longer, even the illness,
Be glad, now you are back to wellness.

Smiling lips can still lie,
Bright eyes can quietly cry,
Strong looks too can get sad feelings,
Listen carefully, the sound of mind says it all.
