At the Break of Dawn
Mild yellow rays
When filter through the curtains
Crystal white drizzling rain
Like pearls, when roll down the lane
When song of sweet linnets I hear
By my window pane
I already know
That it’s morning again
Chlorophylled leaves that
Bathe in the morning sunlight
Besieged by the mist and frost
Oh! In the beauty of nature
I find myself lost
An old lady, out in her garden
Stretches her hand
Towards a bunch of ixora
As an offering to the one above
Wanting the choiciest blessings
he would show
The cool breeze that passes by the willows
The ducks and swans it wakes
Just when white and rubious lotuses
Bloom like goddesses in the lakes
All such miraculous wonders occur
Just when dawn breaks
