Mangaluru, Jan 20: Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) Valencia is all set to present mega event of the year 'Women’s Throwball Match'. The day-long tournament will take place on 12 February at Fr Mullers Indoor Stadium.

Since the commencement of ICYM Valencia in 2015, the association is functioning to fulfill the spiritual and community requirements of the parishioners and are building up to get youth together.The association has been successfully organising various events like sports events, competitions, stage programmes, festive celebrations etc. 

Under the able leadership of Fr Roque Dsa parish priest, Fr Vijay Monterio asst parish priest and Ronald Rodrigues the animator, unit president Valerie Lobo, members of the association are intending to organise this first major event of the organisation of 2023 as a marvellous event of the year.

The inter parish throwball tournament is exclusively for women of Mangalore Diocese.The teams participating in the tournament will be presented with a memento and certificate.Winners will be awarded with Rs 22,222, trophy and certificates. Runners up with Rs 11,111 trophy and certificates. Attractive prizes will be given to individuals for their exceptional performance.

Event will start sharp at 8.30 am with registration process for teams followed by inauguration ceremony, briefing session for teams and thereafter the tournament begins at 8.45 am. The event is expected to conclude in the evening with closing ceremony.

Age to participate in the game is above 16 years.
