JSW Steel's Production Up 9 Percent in First Quarter


Mumbai, Jul 6 (IANS): Indian steel major JSW Steel Wednesday reported 9 percent growth in crude steel production for the quarter ended June 30 over the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

The company produced 1.71 million tonnes crude steel during the period, it said in a regulatory filing.

Production of rolled products (flat) increased 9 percent to 1.19 million tonnes while that of rolled products (long) increased 12 percent to stand at 0.35 million tonnes.

At the Bombay Stock Exchange, the shares of the company closed 1.57 percent up at Rs.888.90.
