I am the first reader of "Blossom Showers" and eversince have been a great fan of the Novel(in anycase I have always been a great fan of the Author). I am both honoured and humbled as BS is dedicated to me. BS is a culmination of 5 years of one page every day of writing anywhere between 10pm to 2am almost every single night. I am witness to the hard work, dedication and sacrifices that have gone into this novel. She has balanced her roles as an entrepreneur, creative person, mother and wife very effectively. BS is a must read and deserves winning a few awards.

I was happy to be at this event- a unique first for Mangalore, a high powered book launch in a prestigious book store. As she mentioned in her speech, it is nice that our very own Giselle Mehta shares the same retail launch platform as Jeffrey Archer.

The release of 'blossom showers' was indeed a memorable event. Two prominent personalities - Mr. Allan Nazareth and Mr. H.C. Parikh paid rich tributes to the writer Ms. Giselle Mehta. Of course they are fully justified in rating Giselle as one of the versatile writers with an excellent command of English.

Giselle in her own right has been an intellectual having authored many publications like:

            The Abbey and Me
J.M. Lobo Prabhu: In he ranks of The Heaven Born
            Love that transcends boundaries
Out of Africa - The Kenyan experience
Louella Lobo Prabhu - A lingering Legend.

I have no hesitation in stating that I have known the Lobo Prabhu family for decades.Mr. Lobo Prabhu (to many of us known as uncle Bob) was a legend himself well matched by his beloved wife Louella a prodigy by any account.

There is an old saying that behind 'EVERY SUCCESSFUL MAN THERE IS A WOMAN'. In this particular case I would say that 'BEHIND THIS SUCCESSFUL WRITER THERE IS A MAN" and that his Mr. Dharmendra Mehta (known to most of us DB. Both these eminent people were highly rated IRS officers.

Giselle has imbibed great qualities of heart and mind from her illustrious parents and it nice to see this young lady making waves as an individual and writer.
