Mangaluru, Jun 16: District BJP president Sudarshan Moodabidri has urged the government of Karnataka not to repeal the anti-conversion-law. 

Addressing press persons here on Friday, June 16, he said the Congress government is trying to appease people from minority communities, adding that if Congress government discontinues programmes introduced by the BJP then the party will hold a massive protest. 

The Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Act 2021 was introduced to prevent religious conversions and love jihad, he said.

“We cannot tolerate the decision of government to repeal this act.  The Congress should go backtrack from appeasement politics. If not, the BJP will hold a massive protest. The BJP is going to hold a massive protest after the state-level meeting in Bengaluru on June 19,” he said. 

He said for the past several years Congress were peddling lies to the students and to the people by hiding the India’s true history.

“The Congress had hidden the true stories of patriots such as . Veer Savarkar, Subhash Chandra Bose and Bhagath Singh. The contribution of these freedom fighters should be known to everyone. The struggle for Independence never came from non-violence (Ahimsa) alone,” he said.
