Mumbai, Oct 4: Three men have been arrested after Dilshad Shah was allegedly stabbed in the neck during a dispute over a ‘Free Fire’ online game ID in Kalina, Santacruz (East), around 1.30 am on September 30. Dilshad survived the attack and is undergoing treatment.

According to the complaint filed by Salman Faruk Shah, he, Dilshad and their friends Mohammad Sohail Isharatali Shah, Sameer Kamal Shah, Aslam Shamsuddin Shah and Ravi Pramodkumar Saket were sitting on the steps of St Rock Church in Kunchi Kurve Nagar before Salman went to his home in Kismat Nagar, Kurla (West), for a meal.

Salman alleged that Arbaz Shah, an acquaintance from his native place, later called him and abused him over the game ID dispute. Salman had earlier shared Dilshad’s mobile number with Arbaz to help resolve the matter.

When Salman subsequently called Dilshad, Sameer answered the phone and allegedly told him, “Arbaz has slit Dilshad’s throat with a knife.”

Salman then rushed towards Kalina and encountered an ambulance carrying Dilshad along with his friends Parvez and Arbaz. Dilshad had sustained a severe neck injury and was bleeding profusely.

The complaint alleged that Arbaz Shah attacked Dilshad because he suspected that Salman and his brother were using his Facebook ID to play online games.

Police registered a case against Arbaz Shah, Musahid Vakil Ahmed Khan, Kausar Ali Jamil Shah and Anas Sayyad under charges including attempt to murder and other provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Three accused have been arrested in connection with the incident, while further investigation is underway.
