He was speaking after inaugurating new court of civil judge and JMFC court in Brahmavar on Saturday August 5. He said, “It is said that justice delayed is justice denied. Therefore the Code of Civil Procedure is amended so that cases may be decided within six months without adjourning them more than thrice. The President’s approval will be received for the amendment soon.
“Several services are being delivered at public door steps. Village courts are being opened this year in order to provide justice quickly and with less cost. As many as 2,000 village courts will be opened in the state in stages at the rate of one court for two or three panchayats.
“There are plans to form ‘case-less’ villages in the state. It will be possible if there are at least two competent people for counselling in every village. Several cases from the Supreme Court to lower courts are not decided even after the time limit. Advocates should provide justice to the petitioners as soon as possible. There will be joy and contentment in the society if cases are disposed of soon.
