Mangaluru: Auto rickshaw driver carrying ganja in vehicle arrested

Mangaluru, Sep 16: Vittal station police arrested a person accused of carrying ganja in his auto-rickshaw.

The arrested accused is identified as N M Mohammed Kalandar Shah (36), a resident of Kasba village Sullia and an auto-rickshaw driver. He was caught transporting ganja at Marakkini, Kepu on Saturday September 16.

Police confiscated 6.110 kg ganja worth about Rs 1,35,000, two mobile phones worth Rs 1,000, Rs 900 cash, driver’s license and the auto rickshaw worth Rs 1,60,000 from the accused. The total worth of the goods seized was about Rs 2,96,900.

A case under is registered and is being investigated by the police.

    Police have arrested an innocent rikshaw driver and pinned a fake case on him. The media is in cahoots with the police because fear mongering brings big business.

    he is not a rickshaw driver; rickshaw is business premise ... he is a businessman using rickshaw to stock his stock-in-trade and for quick delivery to customers ...
