Mumbai, Aug 20 (IANS) Veteran actress Hema Malini is "surprised" to see the country's youths step out in support of Anna Hazare's anti-graft movement, and says she appreciates the activist's bravery.
"I appreciate the bravery of Mr. Anna Hazare. I am surprised to see how this generation of people across the country has united to support his cause. This is for the first time we are witnessing some thing like this," the Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajya Sabha member told reporters at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) here Friday.
Pledging her support for the anti-corruption movement, the 62-year-old actress wished Hazare good health and success.
"The way he is undeterred in his fasting, I would pray to God that he lives in good health and be successful in his mission," she said.
Hazare, who started his fast for a stronger Lokpal bill Aug 16 inside the Tihar Jail, has now moved to the Ramlila ground in Delhi.
