Udupi, Dec 11: Alphonse D’Costa of Udupi Mother of Sorrows Church was elected as the president of Senior Citizen Club of Udupi diocese. He was honoured by Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh on Sunday December 10 at Anugraha diocesan pastoral centre.
Santosh Cornelio, president of Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh, spoke and wished the new president success in uniting elders and encouraging harmonious and co-existing families at the diocese level.
Arvin D'Souza Shirva and Irene Menezes Kallianpur were elected as vice president and as its secretary respectively.
Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh secretary Olivia D’Mello, treasurer Gerald Rodrigues, pfficers Solomon Karkala, president-elect Ronald Almeida, past president Mary D'Souza, Alvin Quadras, Dr Gerald Pinto and Valerian Fernandes were present.
